AMA Prévention at the SMSTO 2025 Congress in Saint-Malo
Partager
A congress dedicated to field realities
Discussions focused on mental health, addictive behaviors, safety of sensitive positions, and employer support. The professionals met were mainly looking for clear, proportionate protocols compatible with labor law.
This approach aligns with AMA Prévention’s position: a test is never a prevention policy on its own. It must be part of an approach including risk assessment, employee information, supervisor training, and referral to competent services.
Solutions presented at the booth
- Drugdiag® saliva tests for targeted substance detection;
- multi-drug urine tests for adapted professional or medical uses;
- breathalyzers and alcohol risk prevention solutions;
- awareness materials on chemical submission;
- training on the use, reading, and limits of rapid tests.
Demonstrations focused on best practices
The demonstrations covered sampling, respecting reading times, control lines, risks of erroneous results, and the need for a second opinion when an important decision may result from the outcome.
AMA Prévention also presented its support for companies and occupational health and prevention services: selection of suitable devices, drafting of an operational protocol, training of authorized personnel, and organization of awareness campaigns.
What we take away from SMSTO 2025
The congress confirmed that occupational health stakeholders expect fewer commercial promises and more precision on uses, limits, and compliance of devices. The discussions started in Saint-Malo continue with organizations wishing to build an approach adapted to their real risks.
We thank the organizing team of SMSTO as well as the professionals who came to share their questions and feedback.
