Media use is not certification
Choosing a product for a report does not constitute official approval, commercial recommendation, or validation of the entire range by France Télévisions.
The quality and suitability of a test should be assessed based on its instructions, panel, thresholds, documented performance, and context of use.
What does a rapid saliva test measure?
A saliva test detects the substances or substance families indicated on its packaging and in its instructions. It provides a presumptive result based on a defined threshold and within a specific reading window.
- a valid control line is essential;
- an insufficient sample can invalidate the test;
- panels and thresholds vary according to references;
- a negative result does not cover substances absent from the panel;
- a positive result may require laboratory confirmation.
Why the demonstration remains useful
A report can help the public understand the simplicity of sampling, the reading time, and the limits of a rapid test. This education is useful provided the result is not presented as absolute proof or as permission to drive.
The role of AMA Prévention
